פיצוחים Seeds

שדה גרעיני חמניות פזור על רצפת מוזיאון הטייט מודרן. כל גרעין  עשוי מפורצלן, בעבודת יד. "הכמות האדירה של הגרעינים והמאמץ המשותף שנעשה בכדי ליצור את עבודת האמנות הזו הם אלו שנותנים לנו מבט נוסף ואחר על האנושות כולה". כך היה כתוב על הקיר. האמן הוא סיני Ai Weiwei  וליד המיצג היה אפשר לראות וידיאו המצלם את התהליך בו מאות פועלים סינים עובדים על כל גרעין חמניה קטן. ומה היה קורה אילו היינו מחליפים גרעיני החמניות בנעלי ספורט? שדה של נעלי ספורט פזור על רצפת המוזיאון. כל נעל עשויה ביד על ידי פועל סיני. אומנות. בהחלט מבט אחר על האנושות כולה.

A field of sunflower seeds is laid down on the floor of the Tate Modern Museum. Each seed is hand-crafted in Porcelain. The vast amount of the seeds and the effort that was made to create this art work are those that give us a different look on humanity as a whole. This is what was written on the exhibition wall. The artist is Chinese – Ai Weiwei, and next to the exhibition you could see a VTR presenting the process in which hundreds of Chinese workers work on every sunflower seed. What would happen if we were to replace the sunflower seeds in sport shoes? A field of sport shoes is laid down on the Museum's floor. Each shoe is hand –made by a Chinese worker. Art.  A different look on humanity as a whole.
